Ortahisar|Ortahisar Castle

Ortahisar signifies “center palace,” and as its name suggests, it is focal among the Cappadocian towns of Goreme, Urgup, Uchisar and Nevsehir, and just a couple of kilometers from the Goreme Open Air Museum. When entering the town, you will see entryways in the stone surfaces on the two sides. These entryways are the best case of the cool-air stockpiles in Cappadocia. In these regular cooled rooms, lemons and oranges from the Mediterranean district, apples from Nigde, neighborhood potatoes, quinces and onions are put away. Green lemons gradually turn yellow in these store-rooms.

Ortahisar is celebrated for its benevolent occupants, pleasant stone houses, limited lanes and beautiful places of worship just as the château like stone development after which the town is named. This 90m high common post, an unmistakable milestone in the area – honeycombed with caverns and passages, disguised naturally without the smallest sign of human nearness inside – has somewhat disintegrated away uncovering a portion of its inside. Today it has been reestablished and the pinnacle is open by a staircase. The Ortahisar Castle offers a sublime scene over the pixie stacks of Hallacdere and the frigid pinnacle of Mt. Erciyes.

Hallacdere Monastery, Ortahisar, CappadociaIf you follow the road near the primary post, you can visit Ali Reis Church with Christ on the fundamental arch. On the off chance that you keep on the central avenue down south you can see the Balkan Deresi up to the Balkan Churches. A few temples in the region of Ortahisar have been opened as of late. Save directly for 2 km when leaving Urgup towards Mustafapasa (Sinasos), after 1 km you will see the yellow finishes paperwork for the Sarica Church and the Kepez Church. Another kilometer will take you to Pancarlik Church in Pancarlik Valley, which has exceptionally fine frescoes on its roof.

The Hallacdere devout complex (otherwise called Hospital Monastery) 1 km upper east of Ortahisar is perhaps the best case of the yard religious communities. It has vestibule, a kitchen, a huge tomb chamber, five rooms of various sizes and a congregation with a recorded cross arrangement with four segments. The creature head improvement on segment capitals and the model of a human figure on the divider are special in Cappadocia. The ground level inside the complex is more than one meter underneath that of the yard level in view of the silting.
